Note from our Founder Duo –
Alpa & Janak

The journey began with a quest for quality craftsmanship & keenness to express in aesthetics. The duo- Alpa & Janak formed Agni in 1996 to bring the cultural techniques in line with global quality & sense of modern design in home products. Since then it has grown to a large family of weavers, various artisans, designers & employees. It is continuing to extend the same with sheer care & commitment till today.

Our Impact

We at Agni, are a conscious design team using all natural & earth friendly raw materials like jute, hemp, PET (refrain from using virgin polyester), recycled chindis, cotton & silks etc. Keeping the heritage & handicrafts alive, we believe in creating artisanal, handmade products instead of machine made jacquards or using power looms.

• Conservation of environment by making a conscious choice each time we create a new product.
• Educating & training the women artisans on making trims & other smaller articles giving them an opportunity to earn a living without formal education.
• Sharing love & awareness amongst our weaver’s community by promoting education creating better opportunities for a healthy lifestyle.
• Ensuring no child labor or bonded labor is practiced in any of our facilities. Partnering with Good Weave & Fair & care to carry out regular audits that ensure the same is followed in word & principle.
